By using sellscribe.io ("SellScribe," "we," "us"), whether as a guest or with an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
SellScribe generates AI-powered product description copy for e-commerce sellers across platforms like Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, Instagram, TikTok, eBay, and Facebook Marketplace. Descriptions are generated using a third-party AI model and returned to you to review, edit, and use as you see fit.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater, to use SellScribe — whether or not you create an account. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we'll terminate that access and delete any associated account and data. You must provide an accurate email address to create an account and are responsible for keeping your password secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact [email protected] right away. You can delete your account and its data at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us.
SellScribe offers a free tier (a one-time trial for guests, and a recurring daily allowance for registered free accounts) and paid Starter and Pro subscriptions, billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You agree not to use SellScribe to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or attempt fraud.
You retain ownership of the product information you provide (product name, features, etc.) and the descriptions SellScribe generates for you. We don't claim ownership over your generated output, and we don't store the generated text on our servers once it's returned to your browser.
You're responsible for reviewing generated descriptions before publishing them — for accuracy, for compliance with the policies of whichever platform you're listing on (Etsy, Amazon, etc.), and for anything you choose to publish. SellScribe doesn't review or approve content before you use it. We're not liable for the consequences of publishing or using generated content — see Section 10 for our full limitation of liability.
Descriptions are produced by a third-party AI model. Factual claims in generated descriptions should not be relied upon without independently checking their accuracy — they may be false, incomplete, misleading, or not reflective of recent events. Like any AI-generated text, output may also occasionally be generic or not perfectly suited to your product. Review generated descriptions before publishing them. We don't guarantee any particular sales outcome, conversion rate, or level of accuracy from generated content.
SellScribe relies on a small number of third-party providers to operate: Anthropic to generate description text, Stripe to process payments, Resend to deliver transactional email, and Cloudflare for network-level DNS/CDN protection. These providers are not parties to this agreement, but certain interactions with them are subject to their own terms — for example, the payment method you use at checkout is subject to Stripe's and your card network's own terms. We aren't responsible for outages, errors, or changes originating at any of these providers, though we'll do our best to keep the service running smoothly regardless.
We aim to keep SellScribe available and responsive, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable or degraded for any reason — including scheduled maintenance, software bugs, an outage or usage/spend limit at one of our providers (including our AI provider), or any other cause, whether or not within our control.
SellScribe is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SellScribe and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You may stop using SellScribe and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these terms, and we'll try to notify you by email when reasonably possible.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email. Continuing to use SellScribe after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
